Jay is a senior full-stack software engineer with a focus on backend systems and data platforms. He has extensive experience working on data-intensive systems, particularly modernizing and stabilizing legacy platforms. This has shaped how he thinks about system boundaries, failure modes, and building software that remains reliable and maintainable as complexity grows.

His work centers on creating scalable, resilient systems that balance correctness, data quality, and iteration speed—well aligned with Radicle’s approach to large, data-driven studies. He’s also focused on growing as a leader, improving how he evaluates tradeoffs, thinks long-term, and helps teams move in the right direction.

Jay cares about supporting others in doing their best work and fostering independence within teams, while working toward being a leader who is both respected and genuinely liked.

Outside of work, Jay enjoys building small, sometimes unconventional apps as a creative outlet. He also spends time experimenting with recipes across food, coffee, and cocktails, always exploring new combinations and ideas.
